Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As the principal of Lake Center Middle School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year! We are excited to have students back on campus and in our classrooms with their energy and enthusiasm for learning. Our goal is to help every child feel welcomed, connected and part of the Lake Center family.
Our great teachers have been eagerly awaiting our students’ return. They have spent considerable time planning and creating classroom activities to engage students in learning. Our teachers utilize research-based best practices and analyze academic data to determine current skill levels to set goals for growth and improvement. This helps all students achieve at the highest levels. In fact, our most recent preliminary state test scores indicate Lake Center students achieve above most other students in California. We believe that all students should be promoted from middle school prepared for the demands of high school and beyond.
Please make note of the following upgrades to our school facility:
- Multiple Shade Shelters
- Security Cameras Throughout Lake Center (the exterior of buildings)
As the new school year gets underway, we are excited to be here to support the students of the Lake Center community. Middle school can be a challenging time for parents and students. During this stage of development, each child may react differently to the changes they are experiencing. Having a supportive environment both at home and at school can soften what can sometimes be a challenging time. Please know that we are here to help so do not hesitate to reach out. The entire staff at Lake Center is excited to start another school year and we eagerly await the arrival of students.
Dismissal on the first 3 days of school is as follows:
- Monday August 18th is a minimum day with 1:30 dismissal
- Tuesday August 19th, is a minimum day with 1:30 dismissal
- Wednesday, August 20th, is a minimum day with 1:30 dismissal
- School starts at 8:00 AM each day
