Fall 2013 - View the Newsletter in English or en español

It is hard to believe that we have completed our first trimester of the 2013-20104 school year. Although the time went by quickly, quite a bit happened here at Lake Center Middle School.
We had a very successful Back-To-School Night in September with many families coming on campus to kick off the school year. In September we also had our ASB elections and saw our campus clubs begin their activities.
In October we had our first Student of the Month Assembly, Great Shakeout Drill, Parent Conferences and Red Ribbon Celebrations. We will complete the month of November with another Student of the Month Assembly, Fall Music Concert trimester 1 common assessments, AVID Parent Night, Act of Kindness Week and Thanksgiving Break.
Thank you all for a successful trimester I. Special thanks to all our families for their continued support of all that we do here at Lake Center.

Compassion Week - Day Five

Today, be compassionate towards your community.  Think of ways that you can help make your school and neighborhood better.  Make sure it is litter-free.  Support programs that contribute to a positive and safe place.

While we want to encourage you to be compassionate towards others, remember that you should NEVER talk to strangers without your parents' approval and supervision.
